Partners First Insurance was founded in Raleigh in September 2022 by Corey Mullen and Steven Spatola around a straightforward idea: insurance works better when the relationship comes first.

As an independent agency, Partners First is built to help clients understand their options, ask better questions, and make informed decisions about the coverage protecting their families, property, and businesses.

Meet Corey Mullen

Corey brings more than 12 years of insurance-industry experience to Partners First. His career began in the captive-agency world, including time with State Farm and Allstate, before he made the move into independent insurance.

That experience shaped the way he approaches the business today: educate first, explain the options clearly, and help clients make decisions based on what they actually need rather than simply selling a policy.
